Now over a week into development, with an engine selected and some core gameplay mechanics identified, a solo anthropomorphic protagonist developed, with the hint of a supporting squad of party characters, some time keeping and minimal interface design, a functional battle system, and even rome rudimentary online elements, and I have something basically playable- in an admittedly very rough format.

As with many such projects, it’s proving hard to focus on one aspect of concept, design, and story. My mind is exploding with ideas and theories and I think the impact of this is showing on the game. How much of what I do now will even be in the final game is questionable; but I’m pretty happy with what I have so far at least.
